Victor Rodriguez Cacho is a concert saxophonist and pedagogue who currently resides in the Austin greater metropolitan area.
Victor currently maintains an active saxophone studio comprised of students from several local school districts. His students have received several awards and accolades ranging from superior ratings at solo and ensemble contests, placing into their respective school's top ensemble, admittance to collegiate music institutions and more.
Victor has performed with a myriad of groups and ensembles, such as the University of Texas Wind Ensemble, The University of Texas Symphony Orchestra, and the University of Texas Saxophone Ensemble to name a few. Also an avid chamber musician, Victor has performed with several groups for competitions, concert series, recording projects, premieres and much more.
Victor was previously granted an academic assistantship at the University of Texas Butler School of Music, a position which he served during his graduate studies. Victor completed both his graduate and undergraduate degrees at the Butler School of Music with Dr. Stephen Page serving as his primary instructor.
I believe in high quality and accessible music education for all. It is my mission to provide excellent teaching for my students, whom I hope can foster, nurture, and develop a lifelong appreciation for music and the arts. As an instructor, it is my goal to create an environment where students can have rewarding and fulfilling musical experiences.
